Are any Smart funds eligible for the Active Investor Plus Visa?
We have a number of Smart and SuperLife funds that qualify for NZ’s Active Investor Plus Visa.
This includes a range of our Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and SuperLife Funds that invest in NZX-listed equities, NZ government bonds and NZ resident companies.
Investors must meet Immigration New Zealand’s criteria. To qualify for the visa, applicants must invest at least NZD $10 million in acceptable investments and spend at least 105 days in New Zealand over a 5-year investment term.
A reduced time-in-country requirement applies if a higher investment is made:
NZD $11 million – minimum of 91 days in New Zealand
NZD $12 million – minimum of 77 days in New Zealand, or
NZD $13 million – minimum of 63 days in New Zealand.1
Our qualifying funds are deemed acceptable as they invest in:
Equities listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange or
Bonds issued by the New Zealand government or a local authority, New Zealand Resident Entities, New Zealand firms and/or New Zealand registered banks.2
